Window Memorials
There are twenty large windows adorning the walls of our church. The largest and most beautiful is the stained glass window on the east wall of the Chancel. In addition twelve other windows have stained or patterned glass and memorial inscriptions or plaques. The red numbers on the church plan below show the location of these windows. Numbers 1, 3, 7, 14 and 16-20 are clear glass.

Window 2 North Aisle
To the Glory of God and the memory of Elisabeth, daughter of R. P. Goodworth, and wife of John K Jamieson, LLD Leeds.
A Sweeter Woman Ne'er Drew Breath
Window 4 North Transept
Plaque beneath says:
To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Mary Elizabeth Goodworth
who died in 1886 aged 37 years. Also of Henry Scarbrough Goodworth her son,
who died in 1901 aged 30 years and was buried at Achtertang, Cape Colony.
And of Rosetta Goodworth who resided in Winterton many years. She died
in 1898 aged 80 years and was buried at Hatfield in the County of York.
Window 5 North Transept
Plaque beneath says:
To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Emily Mary
Goodworth [relict of Thomas Dudding of Garthorpe] who
died on St Andrew's Day 1899 and was buried at Winteringham.
Window 6 Chancel
In loving memory of Robert Fowler, Priest, and of Eliza Juliet, his wife. This window is dedicated AD 1913.
Window 8 Chancel: East Window
There is no memorial inscription.
Window 9 Chancel South Wall
Plaque beneath says:
To the Glory of God and in memory of John George William Kuper
of Winterton Hall who died on the eleventh of June 1871 aged 63 years.
And of Mary wife of the above and eldest daughter of William Hollingworth
and Elizabeth Driffill of Winterton Hall who died 9 Sep 1904 aged 87 years.
Window 10 Chancel South Wall
Plaque beneath says:
To the Glory of God and in memory of William Hollingworth Driffill
of Winterton Hall who died on the 7th of June 1867 and of Elizabeth
his wife who died on the 22nd of February 1876 and of Jane
Driffill their daughter who died on the first of February 1863.
Window 11 Chancel South Wall
In Memory of Joseph B. Sadler for 46 years surgeon in this place. B. 1809 D. 1879.
Window 12 South Transept
In memory of Elizabeth Fowler, Mary Fowler and their
faithful servant Jane King. A.D. MDCCCLXXIV
Plaque beneath says:
This window was given in 1874 by Thomas Fowler M.A. Fellow of Lincoln
College and Professor of Logic in the University of Oxford.
Remembering without ceasing their work and labour of love.
Window 13 South transept
Plaque beneath says:
This window was designated and given by Joseph Fowler in A.D. 1875 in memory of his great-grandparents Joseph and Mary, his grandparents, Joseph and Mary, his parents William and Rebecca, his wife Elizabeth and his son John, all of whom are buried in this church yard. DOMINE, refugium factus es nobis, a generatione, in generationem.
Window 15 South Aisle
In memory of Lucas Marshall Bennett surgeon and Mary Louise his wife and also of Charles Lucas Bennett their son.
