War Memorial Booklet
In 2010 we prepared a booklet with information about those named on our war memorials. A printed copy of this booklet is available for public view in our church. An electronic version is available here but please bear in mind that it is a very large pdf file so may take several minutes to download. Click War Memorial Booklet
It contains many details about three of the Winterton men who died in the First World War.
If you have access to further information which we might add to this booklet, please contact the Vicar or churchwardens.

For further details about those from Winterton who were lost in these two world wars see the record on the Roll of Honour website.
While the lists on the plaques inside the church and on the town war memorial for the Second World War are identical, the two lists for the First World War are not. The plaque in church lists 21 names, including one name not on the town plaque. There are 25 names on the town plaque, including five not listed inside the church. However, in reality there are only four names not listed inside the church since one person is listed under different family names on the two memorials.
