Description: | Course tutor Alastair Scargall This is a repeat of a taster workshop first arranged in All Saints on 25 June 2016. No previous experience needed. It will provide an introduction to the manufacture of jewellery in sterling silver and stamping, using punches to decorate/personalise jewellery. [1] sterling silver wire – participants will cover basic soldering and shaping techniques to make [I] a ring(s) [ii] a pair of earrings [2] aluminium strip – use punches to stamp decorate/personalise [i.e. a short phrase, song lyric special to you] a length of aluminium to make a bracelet.
Tuition is free but participants will be expected to pay a small fee to cover the cost of materials. The course is limited to 5 members [18 years old and above]. Please bring an apron /old shirt and a notebook/pencil would be useful. If you require further in |
