Winterton Parish Registers

The Parish Registers [baptisms, marriages, burials] for Winterton are deposited at the Records Office in Lincoln. The current list of records can be seen Winterton Archives at Lincoln Record Office  You may wish to check the website at Lincoln for the most up to date list of Winterton Parish Records at Lincoln Information about the Winterton Parish Registers is also available from the Lincolnshire Family History Society

An index to the Winterton Marriage Register for 1754 to 1812 inclusive has been used to create the pdf file below. The index is arranged alphabetically by family name. The hand-written list gives double entries for each marriage with the register entry number and date of marriage. The pdf file below has been created in a similar way with double entries so all names will appear once in each of the two name columns. The pdf file is a copy of this handwritten index and not a copy of the register held in Lincoln. It includes abbreviations for some Christian names, some possible spelling errors and there are at least two missing entries marked as 'misplaced'.

Every attempt has been made to ensure accuracy in transcribing the list. To verify this information you should check the original register held at Lincoln. If you find the pdf file does have errors, please do let us know.
