GOOD FRIDAY DRESSING THE CROSS
The dressed Cross at All Saints, 2018
Welcome to our friendly village church. The original thatched church, All Hallows, dating from the seventeenth century and sited to the west of the village also served Bucknall and Stixwould. A picture of the old church now hangs in All Saints. All Saints contains several artefacts from the 1700s including the bell. Designed by William Fowler and built of brick with a commanding spire, the church was consecrated in 1860. The church has a particularly fine stained glass window in the East wall - behind the altar.
The church has been lovingly maintained and boasts the recent addition of a kitchen, so you can be assured of welcome refreshments after our services.
We have a Holy Communion service on the first Sunday of each month, starting at 9.30am. This is the only service in All Saints' at the moment. We hope to re-introduce Morning Prayer on the third Sunday of each month, also at 9.30am in the near future. Please keep an eye on the website for updates.
