We are very grateful for the many ways in which support is offered to our ministry. We know that many people in our community are keen to offer help. Here are some of the ways which you can help to support the work of our church
Prayer
We know that many people support our ministry faithfully in prayer. We appreciate this and all of our team value your prayerful encouragement.
Attending services
We are always pleased to meet new faces at our services. Your help in swelling the numbers at our services gives the whole church membership a boost. Any attendance, however occasional, will be greatly welcomed.
Volunteering
We welcome offers of help volunteering in our church and its activities. You may e-mail us at for more information or contact the Vicar or churchwardens.
- Welcome team for our visitors: For some years now All Saints at Winterton has been opened for visitors on every Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4pm. A welcome has been provided by a small team coordinated by Revd Jane Whitehead. Though the number of visitors on any one day may be small, there has been a significant overall presence and the work of this team has been very successful. Currently each team member offers 1-2 hours once per month.
Now that the 'Northern Lincolnshire Heritage and Church Trail' has been launched, we need to expand our welcome team so that we can consider opening our church at other times. This new Trail has provided All Saints with a beautiful heritage display board, located at the rear of the North Aisle. There is also a new metal 'Church Open' board to place outside and several leaflets about the Trail for visitors. A website has also been set up at http://www.churchtrails.com/
If we are to take full advantage of this initiative, we need a larger welcome team. At present the rota provides two people to be on duty at any time so you will not be alone! Some training will be provided so you will know what to expect and how to deal with enquiries. The essential criteria are that you are interested in All Saints and that you would like to provide a welcome to visitors. We want to appeal to all members of our community whether or not they have a link already with All Saints. Please think about this chance to get involved so that we can extend a warm welcome to all who visit. Many who come to see All Saints will not have visited Winterton before.
