Parish Pixels – show what makes your church special

Are you able to show how unique and special your church is with just one photograph and one sentence? If so, the Parish Pixels competition is for you.

There is a prize of £1,500 for each regional winner (there are to be nine regional winners in total), with an overall winning church, to be chosen from the nine regional winning churches, to receive a prize of £5,000.

How about we show something of what makes our churches special in our diocese?

The deadline for entries is Thursday, 31st October 2019.

Thank Your Vicar Week 2019

Thank Your Vicar Week (Sunday, 13th – Sunday, 20th October 2019) invites schools and churches to celebrate their vicar and all that they do for the local community. This annual event is also an opportunity to raise funds for St Luke’s Healthcare for the Clergy, a charity which cares for the health and wellbeing of Anglican clergy and their families. St Luke’s has been providing physical and psychological healthcare for members of the clergy and their families since 1892.

To take part during 2019, simply visit the St Luke’s website and sign up: https://www.stlukesforclergy.org.uk/thank-your-vicar-week/

It is said that St Luke’s will be distributing some free resources (via email) in early September, which will include lots of content for a Thank Your Vicar Week assembly or service, some fundraising ideas, and a short film (Why do we want to thank our vicar?).
