Welcome to St Denys',
The Parish Church of Sleaford

If you have not been to St Denys' before - don't worry; it is easier than you think. We are Sleaford's parish church and exist to serve everybody who lives in this area when they wish to deepen their relationship with our Creator God.

When we are holding a special service, such as a baptism, wedding or one of the many larger services we hold for our deanery or diocese you will be met by one of those responsible for leading the service or a member of our regular, worshipping community who will welcome you and give you a service sheet.

Find a seat anywhere in the main body of the church - the very few seats that may be reserved, say for families at a wedding or baptism, will be clearly marked. If you want a Bible during the service, there are copies at the ends of the pews. We use the New Revised Standard Version.

There is flat access into the church for those in wheelchairs, but do ask if you need assistance. There are accessible toilets in the neighboring Church Rooms, which are located through the double doors in the building in the alley on the North side of the St. Denys'  (we are working on getting toilets in the building).

You are unlikely to get lost in the service, but if you do, just ask someone who is near you to show you where we are - they will be happy to help.

Most people stand to sing and we generally sit or kneel to pray.

St Denys'  is open from 09.00 until dusk for anybody who wishes just to come and spend some time in reflection. St. Hugh's Chapel, on the north side of the church is particularly suitable if you wish to offer a prayer and perhaps light a candle. There is a prayer board near the chapel's entrance where you can leave requests for prayers.

May God bless you as you seek to deepen your relationship with your Creator.
