Today: Closing of Remembrance Garden, Riverside Park All are invited to the ceremony this afternoon at 3 pm as we conclude our period of Remembrance.

Confirmation Class: The group continues at 4 pm today in the Green School.

Talk at Teatime: The last Talk at Teatime this year will be at 30 Tattershall Drive this afternoon at 4:00 when we will hear Rev Rachel Mann talk about the poetry of Christina Rossetti, author of "In the bleak midwinter" among other works.

Special Announcement - Nigel Bacon
Bishop David has announced that Nigel is to be installed as lay canon of Lincoln Cathedral on 16th November at Evensong there. We send Nigel congratulations on this honour, which recognises all the work he does for the whole Diocese of Lincoln as well as within our parish.

Tomorrow: Mothers' Union Wave of Prayer: At 10.30 am here in church we will take part in the Wave of Prayer celebrating the work of the Mothers' Union around the world. All are invited to join us.

Advent Course: The Advent study course will start on Wednesday November 27th at 2pm in the Church. We will be looking at some of the individuals in the Jesse Tree (the family tree of Jesus) and seeing how their lives and experiences can inform our own lives today.

Organ Recital: Saturday 30th November 7.30pm: All are invited to the celebration of the renovation of our Organ with the inaugural recital of music specially commissioned for the occasion plus other pieces. Wine and light refreshments will be served. There is no charge and tickets are available at the back of church.

‘A Celebration of Musical Moments and Memories in St Guthlac's Church' This book, written by our own Liz Parkinson, is available at the back of church and proving popular with those who have already taken the opportunity of reading it. The cost is just £8 per copy.

Christmas is Coming: If your family would like Mary and Joseph and the Travelling Crib to visit your home in December please let Susan Muspratt know on 343498

....And Christmas Wreath Making: Interested ? - there is a workshop on Sunday 1st December at 1.00pm to be held in the Christie Hall in Wansford at a cost of £25 per person. Plastic Bottle Tops: Jill Gibb is collecting these for recycling to raise money for Cransley Hospice, Kettering. Please bring them to a service to be passed on. Thanks
