Preacher: Ven. Dr Justine Allain Chapman;
Intercessor: Nigel Bacon
We welcome back our Archdeacon The Ven. Dr Justine Allain Chapman as celebrant today
Ladies Guild: We meet this Tuesday at 8 pm in the Green School and, in a change to the published programme, look forward to a talk from Jake Somers-Smith who is a sports masseur at Empire Gym here in Deeping. Also, a reminder to sign up this month for the visit to Lilli's Tea Room on Tuesday 25th June for a cake decorating demo and refreshments; alternatively call Gwen Didlick (347883) to put down your name if you cannot make this week's meeting.
Mothers' Union: Our meeting this month is at 2pm on Thursday 25th at Rose Lodge when we shall chat to residents about schooldays. Dig out your old reports or a book you loved to read to start a conversation!
Soup & Social Lunch: Come along on Saturday 27th for soup, bread and cheese and good company.
Bandless Barn Dance: Kate has tickets for the dance & supper, Saturday 4th May; 7.30pm in the Coronation Hall; £10 adult, £5 child. Kate will be calling for the dances and CDs provide the music. Always good fun!
National Holocaust Centre: seats still available! Churches Together have organised a trip to this centre in Laxton, Notts., on Friday 31st May, set off 10am return 5.30pm. Cost £16 to include the coach, two exhibitions and a survivor testimony.
Book your place with Kate with a £10 deposit.
Stained Glass Windows: A booklet on our beautiful windows and their dedications is now on sale at the back of church: a bargain at only £2.50!
Thank You! During the organ restoration our church cleaning teams have, week by week, come in and prepared church for our Sunday services and we owe them a big "thank you". The repairers did finish off each Friday with a clean and tidy up but there is always more to do for our teams than would usually be the case and we are very grateful to them.
God of hope, in these times of change and uncertainty, unite our nation and guide our leaders with your wisdom. Give us courage to overcome our fears and help us to build a future in which all may prosper and share: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Cheques made payable to Market Deeping PCC.
