It is my enormous privilege to serve as the rector of Legbourne Woldmarsh. I am a proud native of Lincolnshire, and delight in the beautiful landscape of the Wolds and marsh. Before moving here I was a priest in Grantham, having trained for ordination at Westcott House in Cambridge. I hold a degree in Theology from the University of Cambridge, and degrees in Ancient History from the University of Wales and the University of Oxford. History and archaeology remains an interest, as is music and literature. I am a keen cricketer and have played for the Church of England XI, and I am a long-despairing follower of Nottingham Forest Football Club. I am married to Arabella and we have a three year old son Aubrey.
As well as my duties here I am also currently serving as chaplain to the High Sheriff of Lincolnshire.
I am deeply passionate about communicating the Gospel and have enormous faith in the capacity of our churches to make God known and to transform lives. Please know that, as your priest, I shall be praying for you every day and that I am always happy to talk. I take pastoral visiting very seriously. If you are unwell, and would like Holy Communion to be brought to you then please do ask. The same goes if you wish to be anointed for healing or would just appreciate the opportunity to chat.
