As Laceby and Ravendale Group are formed from 7 Parish Churches there are occassions when we meet together or ways in which we try to inform each other of our different activities. Some of the occasions are listed below and we try to utilise the Parish Magazine to inform everyone of the events and activities.

Every 5th Sunday of the month
the Joint Benefice (Group) meet together for a Church Service at one of the Benifice Churches. We try to encourage all to attend this service so that we may have a special time of encouraging one another in the Group to meet as the family of God, and remember...
We have come together in the name of Christ
to offer our praise and thanksgiving,
to hear and receive God's holy word,
to pray for the needs of the world,
and to seek the forgiveness of our sins,
that by the power of the Holy Spirit
we may give ourselves to the service of God.

Women's World Day of Prayer
- on the 1st Friday in March Women's World Day of Prayer is held in one of our Group churches. As a Group, we support this movement which calls us to have a time of prayer for another country. The service is written by a different country each year and the country then becomes the focus of the world's prayers on the day itself. The service is open to all and men are encouraged to come along and participate with us as we consider the needs of a different country and culture.

Christian Aid Week
The Laceby & Ravendale Group support the work of Christian Aid.
During the third week in May we collect, in our parishes, towards this work. Many volunteers are required, especially for the door-to-door collection, so please contact the individual church, or Rev Peter, for further information.
If you wish to find out more, or wish to donate to any of the ongoing appeals, please visit their website on
http://www.christianaid.org.uk/
Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty.
We work globally for profound change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality. We are part of a wider movement for social justice.
Christian Aid, along with its partners, provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

Laceby & Ravendale Holiday Club Week
- the Holiday Club Week is normally held on the last week of August during the school summer holiday in St Margaret's Church, Laceby.
From Monday to Friday we meet together in the morning and have the opportunity to have lots of fun, creativity and laughter. We sing, play games and prepare to finish the week with a Sunday Service which celebrates the Holiday Club Week.
The club is aimed at children from the ages 5-11 and for any child who lives in the Parishes within the group, whether they attend church or not. There is also no formal charge so that all children may have the opportunity to come along, make new friends, hear about God and His love for us, and have a time to have lots of fun. In groups we join in by taking part in activities, crafts, games, singing, and much more.
We also welcome our terrific team of volunteers who work really hard during the week and thank those who help the Holiday Club run smoothly. We aim to provide a safe environment where children can grow in faith, confidence and understanding of the church.
In previous years our Club has been based on: Pyramid Rock (life of Joseph), Landlubbers (life of Paul), Splash (looking at the theme of water in the Bible), Champions Challenge (life of David) Target Challenge (hitting the mark) and in 2010 Friends & Heroes (stories from the bible told by children and their family from Alexandria set in 64AD). Friends & Heroes has continued to be the basis of our Family Activity Service
