SERVICES AT ST. LAWRENCE'S
This is a simple said service for those who want or need an early start, or prefer a quieter service. It lasts about half an hour.
This is the main service of the day, and the biggest of the week. It's a sung service, with a choir and hymns. On the first Sunday of the month the service is ALL AGE and designed especially to appeal to children. On the second and fourth Sundays we have Children's Church which runs at the same time as the adult eucharist, with the children going out from the main service at the first hymn and coming back in to the service in time for a blessing or communion. After the service, which lasts for just over an hour, tea and coffee are served and people are invited to stay and chat.
This is a simple service suitable for people of all ages and especially those new to worship. It includes hymns, songs, readings, sketches and other activities all relating to the theme of the day.
Baptisms are held on at least three Sundays each month.
This is usually Evening Prayer, a quieter service with hymns, readings, prayers and a sermon. On the 3rd Sunday our evening worship takes the form of a simple celebration of the Eucharist.
