- ª Monday, 6th September - There will be a meeting at 7p.m. in the Parish Office to plan for the Winter Fair.
- ª NEXT SUNDAY - 8a.m. - Eucharist 10.30a.m. - Parish Eucharist 6.30p.m. - Evening Prayer
- ª Harvest Festival - Sunday 19th September. Harvest Service 10.30 am (with collection for Bishop John's Harvest Appeal); Eucharist 5.30 pm; Harvest Supper at 6.15p.m. Tickets (£5) for the supper (pie, peas, sweet and tea/coffee) are available from Jane Holmes. If you do not see Jane and would like to attend the supper please put your name on the list on the notice board as we need to know numbers and whether anyone is vegetarian.
- ª Harvest Appeal - for Christian Aid (supporting farmers in Africa) and our link diocese in India (leprosy project).
- ª Help needed! - Six visitors from our link diocese in India (including the Bishop and his wife) are coming to stay in Scunthorpe from Thursday 30th September to Monday 4th October. Do you have a spare bedroom where one/two of the group can stay? (They will be out and about during the day, so it's mostly bed & breakfast). We also need some people who can drive and could give a morning or afternoon to help show them round the area. Please speak to Ellen if you can help.
- ª Events in church - Before planning any event in church (special service, meeting, rehearsal), please contact Andrea, the parish administrator, (telephone 841821 - or go into the parish office)to check that the church will be free and to put the event in the church diary. If you are planning an informal activity which can happen with others around (cleaning, flowers etc) it does not need to go in the diary, but you should still check with Andrea that the church will be available.
Church bookings for the coming week will appear on this notice sheet, but remember that funerals may be booked in at short notice. There have been some clashes of groups recently because people have assumed the church will be empty. We are a busy church with many things happening in the week - so please check with Andrea to avoid disturbing others or having a wasted journey.
- ª Parish Hall Bookings - Anybody wishing to make enquiries about the Parish Hall should contact Barbara Peart on 01724 846891 or 07504989490 and not the Parish Office.
