God is love, and those who live in love live in God; and God lives in them.

1 John 4: 16

On Sunday November 15 there will be a West Wold Deanery Evensong at 6pm in Nettleton Parish Church at which the music will be led by the Deanery Choir formed a year ago.

The choir was formed to help the collective focus of the Deanery. In a rural deanery there are a number of choirs, often small in number,  who welcome the opportunity to do something a little more ambitious and enhance the quality of music in the service. Many churches in West Wold don't have weekly evening services, so both Deanery Evensong and Deanery Choir help occasionally to fill that gap. Everyone is welcome to come and a practice will be held in Nettleton Methodist Church starting at 4.30pm before the service that  Sunday. Please bring robes and we shall robe there before making our way to the church. Andrew Richley from Middle Rasen is Choirmaster and Simon Cole, organist at Market Rasen is Deanery Choir organist too. I am Secretary. Please contact me for any further information but we hope to have good support again in the choir and in the congregation in November. Music will be sent round and left in churches well in advance.

Please note for your diary that in addition to Sunday 15 November there will be Deanery Evening Services on Sunday January 31 2010 at Market Rasen and Sunday April 25 2010 at Holton-le-Moor, all at 6.30pm.
